Ingestion of digital content does not only involve transferring large volumes of media assets between multiple sites, but involves a system to accept and manage the import of digital content such as videos, audios and metadata in various different formats automatically or manually. It is then tagged and profiled with related content and data elements for transcoding and file conversion.

Upon uploading of digital content, it is further analysed to be transcoded into common video formats and bitrates and segmented in preparation for publishing on multi-screens and multi-platforms, which involves delivery and streaming to various media devices across geographies.
